  • Its been a long time since I've written on here. Crazy how that happens. I just wanted to write a little bit about what God has been teaching me lately. I have to admit since I've been here at Emmaus, I feel like God has constantly been trying to teach me things. He has been trying to teach me to be content at where I am at in life. He has been trying to teach me that I can have joy all the time because of the Lord. Its not based on circumstances. It is joy that flows from an intimate relationship with the Him. So often I try to find  joy in other things, such as  people, relationships, and so many other things. But I am always reminded that those things can only temporarily make me happy. I'm so thankful for Jesus Christ. I am such a sinner and He still loves me. He still wants to be with me and help me. His mercy and grace are overwhelming. I'm so far from being where I want to be in my relationship with Jesus, but praise God, I can be confident of this, that he who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

  • So my brother Andy is officially married now and I have a sister. Yay!!!  Matt is playing basketball this year. I am so glad. I got to watch him tonight and he did really well. He made a basket. Yay! I can't believe how quick Thanksgiving is coming up. Its nuts! I am so excited. Oh guess what?! It snowed today!!!! I was totally pumped. It snowed a lot, but it was wet snow, so I think it kinda doesn't look like it was that much. We had snowball fights and made snow angels and sang Christmas songs, it was wonderful. Then I came inside and listened to Christmas music, it was perfect. . I know this is really random but it really was a fun day. :).

  • My brother Andy is getting married on October 7th! I cannot believe how quick it is coming. I am so, so, so happy for my brother. I am so thankful for my family. :). My oldest brother Danny is such a great testimony. He is so patient and such a good worker, and I know he loves Jesus. My brother Andy is growing and maturing. I can see God working in his life. My brother Matt has been such a blessing here at Emmaus. He loves God so much, and he loves people. I love my brothers! I don't even think they know how much I look up to them. I am so thankful they are christians. I love my mom and dad too. They have always pointed us to God, their lives are a light for God. I am so proud to have them as parents. God is so good.

  • College is still going good. I'm learning right now that I need to rely on God more. Its so easy to just rely on yourself or other people. But God keeps trying to show me, that he is the only one who can satisfy me. He has probably tried to get that through my head for years, and I still feel like I don't quite get it. I really want to and I know he will help me. I'm thankful that he is patient. I am a work in progress.

  • Wow it has been such a long time since I have updated this. sorry. I am now at Emmaus  Bible College and the first week of school is done. I am loving it here, the people are very nice,Matt is here too and that has been such a blessing. I am liking my classes a lot. I'm learning new things that I didn't know from the bible and it helps me understand Gods word more, so that is cool. I'm so thankful for Jesus. His love is so overwhelming. Even when I'm half-hearted or just a rotten sinner, he loves me. I really feel like I am where God wants me, and that is so awesome. There is nothing like being in Gods will.

About Me

  • My name is Amanda. I go to Emmaus Bible College and I am in the elementary education program.I have two wonderful parents and three older brothers. I also have a sister in law now. I love my family very much. The best decision I ever made was to trust Jesus Christ as my Savior. He died for all my sins and rose again. I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and one day I will be with Him in heaven. If you want to know about Jesus, please feel free to write to me.
